EiG serves emerging biotech and pharma companies experiencing change. Our team provides human capital expertise in successfully navigating a pathway that increases value. We are experts in working with senior management as well as working with scientists on developing better leadership and management skills. Some recent examples of our clients are as follows:

www.phenomix.com

Phenomix is a biopharmaceutical company focused on the discovery, development and commercialization of novel small-molecule product candidates directed toward clinically validated targets in significant therapeutic markets. They designed their product candidates to have improved efficacy, safety or convenience relative to existing therapies and other product candidates in clinical development. Their lead product candidate, PHX1149, is a dipeptidyl peptidase-4, or DPP-4, inhibitor that they are developing as an oral, once-daily treatment for Type 2 diabetes. Their second product candidate, PHX1766, is a protease inhibitor currently in preclinical development for the treatment of hepatitis C virus, or HCV, infection.

www.proteolix.com
South San Francisco, California USA
Proteolix, Inc. is a biopharmaceutical company dedicated to discovering, developing and marketing pharmaceutical products that target certain cancers by inhibiting the proteasome and thereby disrupting protein turnover in cells, particularly cancer cells, which leads to cell death. Proteolix is developing next generation proteasome inhibitors, including an oral proteasome inhibitor and a selective immunoproteasome inhibitor, to expand the therapeutic potential of this new target class.

www.avigen.com Avigen is a biopharmaceutical company focused on unique small molecule therapeutics and biologics to treat serious neurological disorders, including neuropathic pain and neuromuscular spasm and spasticity. Avigen's strategy is to complete the requirements of clinical development for each of the candidates in its product pipeline, and continue to look for opportunities to expand its pipeline through a combination of internal research, acquisitions, and in-licensing, with the goal of becoming a fully integrated commercial biopharmaceutical company committed to its small molecule and biologics neurology products.

www.proacta.com
San Diego, California USA
Proacta is focused on the treatment of tumors by exploiting their abnormally low concentrations of oxygen (hypoxia). Hypoxia is present in the majority of solid tumors and makes treatment with conventional chemotherapy and radiation less likely to succeed.

Proacta's drugs are delivered as innocuous compounds that are selectively activated in hypoxic regions of tumors. This can result in killing not only the hypoxic cells but also the surrounding tumor cells which have more normal levels of oxygen.

www.prosetta.com
San Francisco, California USA
The mission of Prosetta Corporation is to bring to practical application a number of basic discoveries in cell biology that have been made in the academic laboratories of its founders. These discoveries, which fall into two broad categories, have enormous potential for drug development and the individualization of medical therapeutics.
